Born in the late seventies into a family with a deeply rooted love for theoutdoors and nature, it was no surprise but still a shock to my parents whentheir teenage boy professed that his first-choice career was to one day be aprofessional fisherman/hunter and outdoors enthusiast with a close secondalternative as a wildlife ranger.The news caused my dad to break out in uncontrollable laughter.How do you plan on supporting a family one day I was asked? Rightly so,during this time in South Africa with very little opportunities in this field let alonean income that could one day support a family, I was carefully guided towardsa career in Agriculture. This later turned into numerous senior corporate roles.But the love for the veld never vanished and the dream was always therehaunting my soul with a burning desire to build something special, somethingunique, something based on strong principles, and something show casing thestrength authentic partnerships

During childhood hunting, fishing and simply game viewing was an almostevery day past time, hours spent on bicycles with friends carrying our fishingrods  looking for that perfect spot were just not finding and keeping those wehave discovered a state secret! My Dad in his wisdom, and I am very suretoday also keeping his pocket in mind made me a deal at the age of seven.One simple rule! You can shoot your own buck if you can carry the rifle all theway until you find the right one AND no shooting from vehicles allowed. As canbe imagined the first couple of years was TOUGH! With the rifle numerous timesbeing handed to the tracker to carry back to the truck, therefore no furtherhunting in that year for me. It was only at the age of fourteen and most likelyhundreds of kilometers walked that the spell was finally broken.

Since then, a passion for hunting and giving back to nature was anuncontrollable desire and a hunting career of more than thirty-two yearsfollowed, thousands of gravel roads walked, hundreds of successful and not solucky stalks, learning the sounds, smells and beauty of all God’s creation all inthe most perfect settings. Then followed the unparalleled experience of guidingother nature lovers including my own boys and wife on their first hunts. Itsimply cannot get any better than this! It is truly a humbling and exhilaratingexperience to see the gratitude, disbelief and pure joy in the eyes of a hunterwhen just having completed a successful hunt that was done with honor to theanimal and the veld.

My deepest desire and sincerest wish is for all to be able to experience themagic of an African Safari with their loved ones, the smell and sounds of theearly mornings, the color explosions of an African sunset and the star lit skiesthat silences conversations. Campfire camaraderie & friendship bonds, built onsupport, encouragement, commitment and a shared love.
